One honest price. No AI. No games.
Your complete practice operating system.
From first inquiry to lasting outcomes — care powers the business, the business funds growth, and growth brings the next client. Follow the tour, or tap any step to see what’s inside.
100% human therapy — with everything you need, right there.
Stay fully present with your client. On one side, telehealth. On the other — one tap away — your handouts, psychotherapy notes, progress notes, and measures. No tab-juggling, no breaking eye contact to dig through files. The connection stays unbroken; the work stays organized.
Running a group? This is the command center.
The back office group owners actually lose sleep over — organized the way the work flows: your revenue cycle (payers, services & rates, rate case) and your operations (team, payroll, analytics). One record, one home — payroll, contracts, rates, and compliance, out of the spreadsheets.
The Command Center — owners see revenue and margin; providers see earnings and their next move.
Your data moves in with you — and stays yours.
Here’s the whole move, using SimplePractice as the example. Group practice? You can pilot first — send one or two clinicians onto Better ahead of the full roster.
We’re here the whole way

Better has no AI.
Not a beta. Not an add-on you have to switch off. None — in your notes, your sessions, or your clients' records.
Every major EHR now sells an AI add-on that records or transcribes therapy — each with retention policies, consent complexities, and a monthly fee. We weren't comfortable putting that between clients and their privacy, so we didn't build it. better for your clients. better for your practice.
Nothing listening in
Just you, your expertise, and your client in the session. No recording, no transcription, no model reading along.
Pro-evidence, pro-planet
We're tied to our impact, not just the balance sheet. Running models at scale has a real environmental cost — we won't pass that to your clients or the planet chasing a trend.
Built by us, shared with you
Better is the operating system we built to run our own practice. We're sharing it so you benefit too.
New company. Nothing to hide.
We’re both in the business of trust and care — you with your clients, us with you, your practice, and your clients’ data. As the new kids on the block, we’re not asking you to just take our word for it. We’re publishing a live feed of the key milestones our founding practices hit as they build their business on Better — starting with our own: a 4-state, 9-psychologist private practice.
Grounded Therapy — Better’s founding practice, owned and run by Dr. Stacy & Matt Bonds — is Better’s first customer.
We built this because we needed it.
It started with a group of psychologists who were tired of being on the wrong end of their own software — AI pushed toward our sessions that nobody asked for, support that treated us like a ticket number, features built for investors instead of clinicians — and prices that climbed every year anyway. Meanwhile our contracts and rates sat buried in spreadsheets, and the data that helps you charge what your work is worth stayed locked up with the big players.
So we partnered with a data-security engineer we trust and built the platform from the ground up. We built it, we use it in our own practice every day, and our development team answers to the clinicians who use it — not to investors.
The Founders
Small on purpose — enterprise-grade by background. No private equity, no outside investors: built for, and tested in, the practice Matt and Stacy still run.
Stacy is a PhD counseling psychologist, licensed in California and New Zealand, and founder and Clinical Director of Grounded Therapy — the multi-state group that runs on Better every day. VA-trained, she practices evidence-based care across trauma, OCD, anxiety, and gender-affirming work. She holds the ethics line in the product: if it doesn’t serve the therapy, it doesn’t ship.
Ron is a security engineering leader with a career spent hardening systems for Fortune 500 companies — architecture set at enterprise scale, proven under real audits and real adversaries. In therapy, a breach isn’t a headline; it’s someone’s private life, exposed. Ron builds Better like those are the stakes — one accountable engineer who owns the architecture, data protection, and audit trail end to end.
Matt has spent his career fixing systems that stopped working for the people inside them — turning defaulting small businesses into stable, growing employers. He built Grounded Therapy into a multi-state group and sits across from insurance payers to negotiate real rate increases for the clinicians doing the work. And as a trans man, he knows firsthand what’s at stake when sensitive health records aren’t protected — at Better, security is the default, not a checkbox.
We answer to therapists — not investors.
Legacy EHRs dump every burden back on you. Aggregators take your contracts. better is the opposite — clinician-led, independently owned, and built to keep your practice yours.
Clinician-led. Independently owned. On the hook.
No private equity, no outside investors — Better answers to therapists and the people they help. It runs the founders' own nine-provider, four-state practice every day: if it breaks, it breaks on them first. And it's priced to sustain itself at dozens of practices, not thousands.
HIPAA-compliant & secure, BAA included
Your Business Associate Agreement is part of signup, not a request you have to make. Security architecture is owned end to end by a career security engineer — one accountable person, not a ticket queue.
